can't get water system to pressurize

Make sure your water fill switch is off, and your drain switch is off. The
switches that control the water heater drain, etc, should be checked to make
sure one of the switches weren't inadvertently put in the wrong position.

If this fails, it could be the sporlan valve. BB has rebuild kits for
around 20 bucks, or maybe you could just take your's apart, make sure it's clean
and free from any debris (calcium deposits and even a small grain of sand can
cause the sporlan valve not to close/open properly). Also, check the little
screen where you attach the shoreline hose...it gets clogged easily. If you
get normal pressure at some outlets, and not at others, check the screen on
the faucet spout...this commonly gets clogged with sediment and small
particles of sand, etc, which restricts the water flow. Rarely is it the
shoreline
valve (the place where you attach the garden hose).

This is kind of an emergency for us, as we are preparing leave tomorrow for the
PNW Bird retreat in Pacific Beach, WA.

Stew all of a sudden can't get the water system to pressurize--either with
12-volt pump or faucet water. He asks, could it be the diverter valve that fills
the tank, and if so, what can be done, short of buying a new one?

Or, anyone have any other suggestions to try checking, please?

Breaking news--progress. Stew found a screw was loose on the diverter valve; now
we have water pressure from the faucet. Still don't know if we're getting
pressure from 12-volt pump.

Hi, everyone--

Thanks to Kevin McKeown and Mike Bulriss for the GREAT information you both
sent! Before we were actually able to get back to the computer to see your
responses, Stew had fixed the problem (he was so proud of himself, so that's why
I had to send this!)--it was indeed that loose screw on the diverter valve that
Stew thinks had been ever-so-gradually loosening. Now the water pressure's
better than ever!

However, Kevin and Mike, please know that your info is a valuable contribution
to the archives, and we will definitely be using it to see if we can further
optimize the water system!
