IOTA DLS-55

In my 1986 PT 40 the compartment that held the old battery boilers is
vented on the top, the side wall next to the engine and the rear wall
next to the batteries.
There was a 20 year accumalation of dust, dirt and oily grime in the
compartment. Do I need to seal off all ventilation outlets before
installing the two IOTA'S or do they need some ventilation.

Howard my IOTAs are located in a bay that holds the tool box and BBQ. This
bay is open to the entire basement of my bird with the exception of the two
waste tank bays and the battery/invertor bay. This is quite a large area and
thus provides a great deal of exposure for cooling. I just can't say for
sure that the IOTAs need it or not but if I was a betting man I think I
would opt for more venting rather than less. JMHO
