Lesson Learned !! Grrrrr.
Howdy, Y'all.
I purchased a Sharp replacement microwave/convection oven because mine is dead. I bought it from Lowe's and paid for delivery and installation because Jack didn't want the hassle. It was a special order and I waited about 2 weeks. Yesterday the installer showed up, came in the coach, looked things over and refused to install the oven. Said that it would be too complicated and took the oven back to the store. When Jack came home from work(furious), we went to Lowe's and got a total refund with apologies. I was so disappointed. Later I found the oven via Amazon for a little less money and purchased it. Jack's co-workers offered to help him get the old oven out and install the new one. I also called BB and one of the techs, Wendell, told me where to find the receptacle for the oven and where the holding screws would be located. I told Jack that we would just have to learn to handle more situations with our house-on-wheels. Lesson learned? Do it yourself!! Regards, Liz |

I carefully looked at the GE model but decided that I didn't want to learn a new oven(grin). The original oven also was a Sharp, built in 1992. There are 2 long screws up there supposedly holding the oven. There is a little boxed in area, on the right hand side of this compartment and one of the holding screws is supposedly in that box, along with the electrical receptacle. Under the oven, at the very back and in front of the mirrors, there is a bar and it has two screws. One is supposed to loosen them and the oven will lift off of that bar. We'll see. This oven is heavy. I am going to take photos of this project. BTW, did you ever live in Florida in an American Eagle? Hi Liz,
Thanks for the tutorial. As John Suter said, "I'm sure Wendell had a smile on his face as he was describing this". I wish you the best with your new install and am looking forward to the pics. No, I never lived in Fla, I try to stay clear of the place, since all my exes live there! Gosh darn it Scott, you're right, its been a full year
since we brought Ruby and Smokey and the Gals into the new year. I sure wouldn't mind a repeat of last year, what a blast! Completely unexpected and spontaneous! What a welcome to the Blue Birding lifestyle! I don't think it's too early to wish you and Judi all the best in the coming year. Looks like you'll be starting it off in fine fashion with a trip to NM. We won't be far behind; we're planning a trip to Ca, leaving late Jan or early Feb. Give our best to Judi! Suzy and I are expecting company here in Va and are kind of glued to the house till then. Hope to see you in Myrtle Beach; someone said there might be a rally there in '06?
