Chassis Heat?

Chassis Heat?
Hi Henry,

Do you have a "Summer/Winter" switch? Do you have an "Aux Pump" switch? If
so, it needs to be switched to "Winter" and the aux pump assists in getting
all that hot coolant (contrary terms) into the coach heater cores. There are
Sporlan Valves in that system, so one might be stuck, too, if the
aforementioned don't work.

Heaters not needed here in SoCal right now.....just got done mowing both
lawns, and I'm tired!!

Henry,

Forgot to mention...your engine coolant has to be up to operating temp if
you expect any heat from the chassis heaters. But, you probably already know
that...right?

Chassis Heat?
My chasis heat thermostat turns on all three blowers so I figure that
it's working. I opened the round valves in the hoses under the engine
to allow hot water to flow to the back of the coach. All I get is cold
air from the registers. What should I check next?

You need to verify the circulation pump is on, my rear bath FC likes the pump
even running down the road. There is a lot of coolant to move and the engine
water pump can't do it all. That is the reason the accessory pump was added.

Near the floor in the rear are two push-pull cables. For rear heat, one
out one in, for no rear heat and domestic-water heat only (motoraid),
the other cable out/other cable in. The valves can be seen at the other
end of the cables by lifting the mattress and plywood under the bed,
next to the water heater.

Kevin. I have both switches but only turned on the "Summer/Winter" switch
because I didn't know what the "Aux Pump" switch was for. I'll try turning both
switches on, next time, and see what happens. Thanks. Henry@...
