You do have a differnt set up on the 84 then i do but i do have the same size
radiator as you do
and the 12 volt would not cool the radiator. I dont beleave you will get the CFM
with a 12 volt electric fan for proper cooling under a 50% generator load.
Let us know how it works for you.

You might be right, Bob, I will have to see the ratings of CFM
fans...maybe 2 fans side by side as seen on some cars?

Hi I have a 1980fc33 with a12.5 kohler gen. A previous owner changed the
stock cooling fan with a plastic one which also reversed the direction
of air flo. I am not happy with the cooling performance of this set up
gen. will run up to 200 deg. with two A/C's on I have checked and
tightened water pump belt on the perkins engine. I would like to find
out the part number for the stock fan and hub assy. and where to
purchase one. Thank you Mark
