Swing Radiator in Texas
Or you can use dry break hydraulic quick disconnect fittings and save the hassle
of stowing and the chance of abrasion damage to excessively long lengths of
hose. 3/4" NPT is the size and the cost is reasonable.

Swing Radiator in Texas
The pictures on the forum are of the swing radiator for my 1982 FC35.
There are more pictures at http://tinyurl.com/lw2wk . Of particular
importance is the length of the lower hose to the length of the steel
elbow on the bottom of the radiator. With the correct ratio as shown
in the picture with the tape measure over the hose, you will be able
to open the radiator 90 degrees to the engine making maintenance
easy. Most of the swing radiators I have seen are only able to open
at less then 45 degrees making entry difficult. Also shown is the
radiator support and the hinge on the left side as well as how the
transmission hoses fold back onto a support I made.

Ralph, I've seen these scoops on several units, and not just Bluebirds,
and only when a bus was traveling on the highway. The scoops you have
seen, were they nice clean rounded formed top and bottom ends, or more
home made looking in that the top/bottom did not appear to be stamped,
was perhaps welded?
