Wild Flowers in Texas Hill Country
The Lone Star Birds rally in San Antonio was great. I enjoyed meeting
a lot of other birders...

We were 'running away' from storms in Colorado and headed to Texas
because it was (1) to the south and less likely to be freezing and
(2) my wife has an event near Austin (in Dripping Springs) later this
month...

So, by pure chance we dropped into the Texas hill country almost at
the peak of the wildflower season. The Blue Bonnets are impressive --
and in some places amazingly thick. There are quite a variety of
other flowers in red, yellow, white and some other colors ... (don't
ask names as I don't have a clue). It makes for a beautiful ride
through the country side.

Today, Vicki went out to Pedernales Falls (spelling?) and had a nice
walk. (I was slaving away on my computer finishing a couple of
projects for my clients.)
