Unless you are locked in to buying some of these things from Caterpillar, I
would shop around and in the phone book. Here in Charleston we have two places,
one is Joint and Clutch and the other is a 'bearing place' that carries about
every imaginal pully. Several years ago an idiot mechanic broke the pully on my
compressor, $260.00 from Caterpillar, and some time later found out that the
very same pully is available elsewhere for a fraction of the price. Not always,
but sometimes we pay for the Caterpillar inventory, just like with Blue Bird.
