M380 and 40LX questions

We are in the market for a motor home. We are trying to stay in the
2000/ 2003 year range. What are the differences between the m380 and
40 lx? The lxi is out of our price range.
Tag 40 lx no tag m380
450 hp 40 lx and 400 hp m380
Other differences?

Have heard that the m380 drives better than the 40 lx, your thoughts?

We probably cannot afford a 40 lx slide so if we start looking at
m380's (to be able to get a slide), what repairs should have been
done to fix any problems. I know about the skin and the repaint
repair but have heard about electrical problems, slide problems and
brake problems (recall item I think). Anyone with more specific
repair issues with these coaches?

Beyond routine maintenance are there any recurring problems with
either coach?

I am trying to convince my wife that we are better off with a used BB
or Foretravel with no slide or one slide than one of the "other" name
brand glass coaches with two or more slides.
