Lone Star Birds Holiday happening
We would like to say a big thank you to Mike and Sue Bulriss for
hosting another very successful rally. You guys go above the call to make sure everyone has an enjoyable time. Brenda and I enjoyed meeting new faces and getting together with all our old friends. It has been too long since we have been able to attend. Ernie Ekberg 83PT40 Weatherford, tx |

Thanks Ernie, and thanks to everyone that showed up! We appreciated
the all the support and help. With some 31 coaches and 75+ people attending, this was the largest Lone Star Birds rally to date. Coaches came in as early as Tuesday of last week and several were just leaving on Monday of this week. For the newcomers, Lone Star Birds is the third oldest Bluebird Wanderlodge social organization the country, behind the factory sponsored Family of Friends and the Vintage Birds organization. Our attendees at RITV are usually noticed... ;^) Oh yeah, we have fun! The FMCA South Central Bus Nuts were also there at the park, but they were hardly noticed compared to our group. The park hosts mentioned to Sue on Sunday morning while she was opening up for breakfast "Boy, you people sure know how to eat and party and have fun!" That we do..... Sue and I will need a year to recover and get ready for our next one! I'd like to add our thanks as well. The Lone Star Birds put on one
great rally -- and we're still eating leftovers! Pete Masterson '95 Blue Bird Wanderlodge WBDA 42 aeonix1@... I would like to thank Mike and Sue Bulriss for their concentrated
efforts to make this rally a success. I also would like to thank Eric Purplies 95 WLWB42 for taking us on a guided tour of the South Pacific Museum. One of the most humbling highlights of the day was the special service that honored all the individuals that were at Pearl Harbor exactly 67 years ago. The words that were said, the music, and the jets flying overhead. It makes me proud to say that I served our country, also. Ernie Ekberg 83PT40 cold Texas USAF |
