Add to the Tire Pot

After reading the tire talk, I started thinking about 30 year old seat
belts. If used really often wouldn't they need to be updated ? There is
a lot of wear from putting them on and off. We replaced our seat belts
in our old 78 Fine wine as they showed wear. My rule is safe belts on
the the rider and sefe belts on the wheel. Is this a good rule?
