It actually is quite lovely this time of year – spring in the desert is something to behold. But enough about that – let’s talk about ME! Remember that article about us in The New York Times a couple of years ago? I know most of you read it – and so did Jane Pauley of the Today Show. In fact, she was so fascinated by it that she filed it away for future use. Now she is doing a series of features on the Today Show, in conjunction with AARP, about Baby Boomers who totally changed their lives when they hit their 50s. And guess who is the June feature? That’s right – Trudy and Lisa and The Catbird Seat. Jane and her crew are flying out here next week to interview us and then when we get to Vegas in 2 weeks, her crew and a line producer are flying out to shoot B footage of how we live and work in the RV. Cool, huh? Another 15 minutes of fame. Air date is tentatively scheduled for June 8. So, in addition to trying to finish up these 6 parks in Benson, we are cleaning and polishing up the bus so it will look good on TV. No rest for the weary. Don’t worry – I’ll give you all a full behind-the-scenes report when it’s all over with, as well as some good dish on Jane, if I get some.
