inline fuse holder behind microwave?

Removed microwave to replace it and found an inline fuse holder on the
wall behind it. It is in a small two wire line coming out of the vinyl
liner of the wall behind the vent tube for the drains. It had a burned
out 2amp fuse in it. Any ideas as to what it protects? Thanks for your
