Q MAI TAI FINE Happy Hour
MAI TAI FINE Happy Hour - Jim & Denise Benson will host a MAI TAI FINE Happy Hour 3:30 to 5:00, Saturday January 24th at their bus. They will be serving (and possibly introducing many) to a traditional MAI TAI, from Trader Vic's Original 1944. This ain't no fruit juice mixer and some rum, this will be the real thing and they welcome everyone to enjoy some old fashion Hawaii style living, right there in the desert.

Prime Rib Roast - Your Attention Please
The following was E-mailed today to those on the 2015 Q Participant E-mail list. If you did not receive the email, and you plan to attend the January 2015 Quartzsite, Arizona rally, and you wish to be kept informed, you should send an email to curtsprenger@gmail.com to be included on the E-mail list.

Prime Rib Roasts in the Desert – Pot Luck Style

It’s a tradition. Ray and Leslie Thomas will prepare their famous Prime Rib Roasts for one of the evening gatherings, see Calendar for date. The dinner will be potluck style. We have the facilities to cook for 150 people.

Dead line for sign ups is January 6.

This is a sit down dinner, little hard to eat prime rib standing up, so everyone should bring a chair and table if possible. Bring your own napkins, plates, utensils, and drinks. Pair up with a neighbor or two and bring one table.

The roasts are usually cooked medium rare to medium with the few end cuts more well done. Ray needs to know your preference of how you would like the Prime Rib cooked. He can do a roast more on the well done side. We don’t have a grill to cook them any further.

Prime rib roasts are very expensive. Ray is able to purchase the roasts for less than retail cost. A $10.00 fee per person is what you will pay, and is more than fair, to enjoy Ray’s prime rib. Ray & Leslie will be very busy preparing the meal. It will be very helpful if people pay before the dinner date. Please pay Ray & Leslie at their coach upon arriving at Q.

Ray & Leslie will be furnishing the Prime Rib, Bread, Aujus and Horseradish Sauce. Ray will assign you (via email) a side dish, salad or dessert after you email Ray with your sign up choices.

Everyone, please remember to bring your side dish assignment to the dinner. We were short on sides this past Q. Did we say we like to eat?

Ray will set up a carving station and serve people as they come through the line. Talk about service in the desert!

To repeat, we have the facilities to cook for 150 people. The expected attendance for this rally is more than 200 people, and growing.

Please send your sign up email now to duckmanr@att.net with your answers to the following questions. It’s best to reply even if you do not plan to eat the prime rib.

Copy the following and paste it in your email with your answers.
1 - Do you plan to eat Ray’s prime rib roast? (Yes or No):
2 - If yes, how many people?
3 – How cooked - # rare, # medium, # more well done?
4 - You agree you will pay the per person $10.00 fee? (Yes or No):

Again, Dead line for sign up is January 6.

Thank you all for reading and responding. We look forward to your response.

Your BoF organizers for this event: Ray & Leslie assisted by Fred, Rick, John, Curt
