Stranded in Lincoln, NE
We're stranded (temporarily, I hope) in Lincoln, NE after George
Witt's parking lot rally. The local truck center replaced the
alternator and bracketry and fixed the coolant leak. My wonderful wife
had tightened the belt and installed a new gasket on the top radiator
hose mount - we made it all of 5 miles before the belts disintegrated
and she lost power steering assist. Now we're searching for a
replacement for the drag link which the mechanic says is worn beyond
adjustment.

I gave them Earl Davis'number in Fort Valley, they're working through
a Blue Bird Distributor in Kansas. The truck center says they can only
order through a supplier they have an account with....

All thoughts, comments and suggestions welcome. Has anyone ever had
this problem? I've read the posts about the steering box and loose
bolts...bit have not seen this mentioned. George was kind enough to
let me use his computer for internet access.
