Air horn- '90sp36
Help,
I just got a call from the Cat dealer who is replacing my turbo.
He informed me that they completed the job and took the Bird out
for an extended test ride and whenever they hit the brakes the air
horn started blowing and they couldn't get it to shut off without
shutting off the engine and restarting it. Is this part of the
security system function? They called me from the road and I told them
to check the security switch position.

Be certain they are not depressing the horn button on the floor.
This seems silly but it has happened.

Fred,
You are sooo right!. I did this the first time I backed our PT38 in the
driveway. Every time I stepped on the brake peddle I also stepped on
the air horn floor switch with my left foot.

Indeed, this will happen often, when a driver is tense and his left foot is
trying to push the floorboard out through the left headlight. And of
course,he doesn't realize it.
