Lone Star Birds Wildflower Rally
Just thought I'd let you know about the Lone Star Birds Rally
coming up on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of April at Buckhorn Lake RV Resort, Kerrville, Texas. Several folks will arrive on the 20th. The rally will include a catered breakfast on Saturday as well as a dinner. There will be live entertainment after dinner on Saturday. There will be a morning tour of wildflowers followed by picnic lunch and climbing around "Enchanted Rock" just north of Fredericksburg. The rock is the second largest granite upheaval in the United States. Wonderful to explore and get a great view of the Hill Country of Texas. Rates for the rally are $25 per night and includes (3) days before and after the rally. We currently have 6 spots taken and a total of 20 reserved. Come join us if you are in the area or want to make the trek to this beautiful park and area of Texas. R.E. (Ron) Marabito, Dallas, TX 92WB40 Rally Host |

Lone Star Birds Wildflower Rally
Howdy once again gang.
Just a friendly reminder for the upcoming rally on April 21,22 & 23rd. Would sure like to see a better turnout than a dozen coaches. It's a terrific time of the year and we need to enjoy this weather before it turns hot so come on and get on the band wagon. I know there are still a couple of maybes that need to commit. Make your reservations at the Buckhorn Lake Resort in Kerrville, TX and let me know when you have done it. If there is any additional information that you need or have lost, let me know and I'll get it to you right away. Thanks, R.E. (Ron) Marabito |

Lone Star Birds Wildflower Rally
Just thought I'd remind any of you interested that we have a rally
in Kerrville, TX this weekend. It will be at Buckhorn Lake Resort. Come, if you have a mind to. I will be leaving in the morning and should arrive in the afternoon. Will top off the fuel tank in Waco. Hope I don't have to call to get someone to bail me out. (bg) We are expecting 17 coaches. Should have a great time. Maurice DeShazer, President of the Blue Bird Family of Friends will be attending. R.E. (Ron) Marabito, Dallas, TX 92WB40 |

Lone Star Birds Wildflower Rally
Hi all:
Shirley and I recently hosted the Lone Star Birds Wildflower Rally at Buckhorn Lake Resort, Kerrville, TX. Had 15 coaches and the group had a great time. Unfortunately, there were practically no wildflowers like we are used to seeing caused by the the drought last fall and winter. We managed to include some live entertainment this time and everyone enjoyed it, I know. Everybody stayed for 3 hours. Many of you have been concerned about the factory, as you should have been. They have had some problems over the last few years, but it looks like they are poised and started in a recovery that might be similar to Harley Davidson. It requires our support however. Maurice & Rozanne DeShazer, current President of the Family of Friends joined us at the rally as did Dan & Bobbie Jensen. Both of these couples are members of the Advisory Council to the new Wanderlodge Corporation. We obviously had some good discussions about the factory and Fred Vandenburg, Sales Manager. Everyone agrees, that the factory needs the support of all the owners and that does include Fred. It is imperative that we all join in to support the new efforts and the new product being produced. Since the management is now clear or free of the requirements of the owners we had, they are ready and started in production of the highest quality coach on the market. I was given a CD with a factory tour hosted by Fred Vandenburg and it was terrific. When you see the new construction of the LXi, you will be impressed. Once again, we can refer to the coaches as "Tanks". The framework is impressive to say the least and all stainless steel. Fred has joined our Forum and will post from time to time with new information coming from the plant. Please do not email him direct with questions. He doesn't have time to address them, but please send any inquiries to me. I will act as a liaison with Fred and try to answer any questions you might have about the new product and the status of the factory. Please take a look at some of the photos from the Lone Star Birds Wildflower Rally at: http://s69.photobucket.com/albums/i49/Ma...ds%204-06/ Thanks for listening to my update and lengthy post. R.E.
