EL Inverter Testing
There is 12VDC going to the upper dash EL inverter (only one inverter).
Using a clamp-on meter, clamping round one inverter wire at a time, should I get ACV reading from at least one of the wires? I tried this and no ACV reading on the meter. Could the rheostat cause a no load condition to the inverter, and in turn cause the inverter to go bad? -- Curt Sprenger 1987 PT38 8V92, Anaheim Hills, Calif. |

EL Inverter Testing
Leroy,
I bought the clamp-on meter at Harbor Freight, Item 42369, $17.99. Clamp around only one wire, not multiples. Curt Sprenger 1987 PT38 8V92, Anaheim Hills, Calif.
