Air Relief Sound NOT There
Hi All,
I hope everyone is having a Birding good time. I've got a problem I'm hoping is minor. I appear to have an over pressure situation. I don't hear the air relief sound from the dryer as I always have. I have 125 psi in both front and rear tanks, so the guages say. I hope this is a cleaning issue. Along with that, my low pressure buzzer and light came on the other eve, as well. Guages show plenty of pressure and the brakes release fine. I have already replaced the warning sender once. I'm thinking it has trash in it. Any suggestions would be just fantastic. Thanks! Dru,
125psi is correct so the compressor is probably unloading OK. When was the last time you had the air dryer serviced? Sounds like you have a purge valve problem. I usually rebuild the air dryer and purge valve at the same time. - Chuck Wheeler - 82 FC 31 SB Fort Worth, TX _____ From: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com [mailto:WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of D Sent: Wednesday, May 23, 2007 1:03 PM To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Air Relief Sound NOT There Hi All, I hope everyone is having a Birding good time. Air Relief Sound NOT There
Hi there:
Sounds like the air dryer to me. You can get a replacement cartridge and rebuild kit, my dryer was the AD-2. My air dryer was spitting wet oil goo, and I think that it was on its last legs, the desicant certainly was no good. By the way, it was a fairly easy task. Best luck to you. Air Relief Sound NOT There
Hey Gang!
I found it! The unloader hose poped off the air governor. The previoius owner placed a hose on an unbarbed end. I placed a compression fitting on the end and new hose and clamp and we're on the road with our PPPppppsss noise again. Sounds like the big rig she is again! Thanks to all!
