SUCCESS!
Finally got the levelers working after swapping out the pump. What a
saga. A word of advice to those who may work on their leveling system: the hoses marked with red tape are return lines. In my mind, it seemed logical that red would mean pressure, but that is not the case. I guess 'red' and 'return' both start with 'r'. My pressure lines had no markings. I had my system hooked up backwards, that's why I was having such problems. Scott Forman 82 FC35RB Memphis |

It's sorta like Mexican plumbing. C = caliente = hot.

If you are a sailor returning to port at night, the rule is" Red Right
Return". That is, keep the red markers on the right (starboard) side or you will come to shore prematurely. dandarst86fc35rbhuntleyil. >From: "Scott Forman" <sforman@...> >Reply-To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com >To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com >Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] SUCCESS! >Date: Sat, 17 Jun 2006 00:42:15 -0000 > >Finally got the levelers working after swapping out the pump. With the help of Stephen Birtles and the folks at Cole-Hersee, I have
brought my levelers back from the dead. A dead solenoid was the problem, as suspected, and the rest of the system works fine except for a yet-undiagnosed oil leak coming from one jack. These HWH systems are really resiliant, my understanding from the previous owner was that the jacks had not been used in many years. It is really, really fun to find success in projects like this, especially for a guy like me who is not trained as a mechanic and has to lern as I go. This forum is an amazing tool, couldn't get anything done with out it. Thanks to everyone who has ever helped me. Scott Forman 86 PT38 Memphis |
