Auto Start Generator Troubleshooting
The Auto Gen Start is a little more complicated than I had hoped for. If you
need help on this call Larry Westhaven for the GENCON 9232. He does not build them anymore but he will rebuild and service them. http://www.westhaverassociates.com/GenCo...n_9232.asp My first problem is a new generator; I have to check to see if it has the fly wheel sensor and if the generator is compatible with the current circuit board, if not it will need to be recalibrated. Second the 12v adaptor/sensor is incorrect for the GENCON 9232. Bluebird has a 120v outlet that the 12v adapter/sensor is plugged into I have to check to see if it is hot while the inverters are on, if so it needs to be rewired to reflect true shore power, According to Larry Westhaven it needs to be wired into the 120v shore power before any transfer switches There is some corrosion on the Circuit Board terminals. So I¢m pulling out the 12v adapter/sensor and the GENCON 9232 and having it rebuilt and recalibrated, check the power plug and Flywheel sensor, then if I get lucky when it¢s reinstalled everything works. If not the wiring needs to checked out. But the other parts need to working and checked out before that can happen. Auto Start Generator Troubleshooting
Have you check out the aftermarket auto starts? or contanct the BB
genset folks, Powertec? I understand they are very helpful. When changing 120 electrical in the motorhome keep in mind that the neutral is not bonded to ground in the pannel.
