Tranny problem
We went to Gilbert Lake State park near Oneonta NY a week ago. Then
headed down to Shanes rally in Hershey and left for the Addirondaks on Friday morning. All went well till I was puling out of a Flying J after a fuel stop. The trans seemed to jump in and out of gear once, but that was it. Then as I left the station and turned uphil it began jumping in and out of gear (first) at half second intervals. I tried to pull over but it seemed too stressfull on the drive train so I stopped. The police insisted that I try to get over further, but I made about 5 feet with the bumping going on and stopped. Good Sam got a tow truck and we followed to Stadium International Truck in Olyphant PA. It was late Friday night so nothing could be done till Monday. I still don't have a diagnosis, but should have one by Tuesday. Anyone know anything about Stadium Truck? Got any suggestions on the tranny problem? |

Tranny problem
Gardner, here is a thread that may have some insight into your problem. I would skim thru the 30 pages to gain knowledge for when you speak with the shop that is doing the diagnostic and repair estimate.
the site is rvusa dot com seems to have a n Allison tech that gives expert advise. questions may have been asked and answered in the thread.
