BIRDS NEST
WOO. Could be intentional, hard to say.

BIRDS NEST
I am not an insurance person, but I do buy campground operations liability insurance for my campground. Â The premium is revenue based. Â We are small and don't have a lot of revenue and our premium is around $1200 a year or so for liability. Â We do not have a pool or lake and that helps keep it down. Â I can provide contact info for our agent if anyone wants it.
As an aside, the first ten birds to show up here at my campground in 2010 can have one free night each (but please not all at once, we only have 6 open sites right now )
Regards, Dorn Hetzel 77FC35 Flat Creek Campground, Hogansville, GA

This area is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Don't take this wrong as I have used the Birds Nest on several occasions over 20 years of Wanderlodge ownership. It is a nice place to overnight and visit with other Bird owners. However, every time it was for a day or so to have work done at the factory. There is, IMO, no other reason to go there. As far as meeting up with other Wanderlodge owners, that is what rallies are for. These events range from simple gatherings of a few owners to large events such as just held in Tennessee. Great fun and they can be held anywhere and don't need the defunct Birds Nest. Just my opinion, I'm sure others will vary. > > Rich D.'99LXi43' CT > > --- In WanderlodgeForum@ yahoogroups. com, "Ernie E" > > > > #1 IP: 75.250.207.82 21 Minutes Ago > > Randy Dupree > > Forum owner Join Date: Dec 2007 > > Location: Archer,Fl > > Posts: 3,977 > > > > The Birds Nest. > > > > ------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- - > > > > I have been in touch with the owners of the wanderlodge factory. > > We can go in and use the birds nest now,but there has to ba a nightly charge. > > The reason for this charge is because we have to provide an insurance policy, liability only. > > > > We will need some help on this,do we have a insurance person on the site? > > > > Also,we are going to set up a governing "board",to represent us,the wanderlodge owners, and to make rules and get it all set up and running. > > > > I think we need a person from each of the Wanderlodge forums, and from the FMCA chapters. > > > > Thats one person from each group. > > > > WOG would be Randy Dupree > > Ernies site would be Ernie Ekberg > > Family of Friends is Bill Kirchner > > Vintage birds is Shane > > A local rep would be John Stiles > > And the last person I believ will be the Plant manager from the factory. > > > > This group was hand picked by ME,with advice from lots of you! > > The group was picked to set rules, and to try and keep the different groups all advised and in agreement. > > > > Things we will have to do is provide : > > Insurance > > Lawn care > > Housekeeping > > > > We are trying to work with the owner of the factory to use the same people hes using for those things,so we don't have an overlap in service, and we may get better pricing that way. > > > > There will be a time limit on how long you can stay. > > There will be a nightly charge > > You will have to cleanup after yourself. > > The board will reserve the right to ask anyone to leave. > > > > This is the first post of what i'm sure will be a long thread,so lets keep it friendly, and productive. > > > > We will be charging $20 per night at first. > > We will accept donations from anyone that wants to donate money so we can re-carpet and clean up the club house. > > > > This is going to be the wanderlodge Country Club, its up to us to make it or close it. > > ____________ ______ > > > |

BIRDS NEST
Rich - apparently the new owner is planning on servicing coaches. So there might be one reason to go to "the nest"!
