Reminder on electric heater PM

Since we are scheduled to hit 21 degrees tonight in Boerne, TX, it is apparent
that winter is finally here in South Texas as well as the rest of the country.
This is precisely why I moved south, not to endure this kind of weather!

In any event, with this impending cold event I made time this afternoon to go
over to the bus and start to clean out the electric heaters, since we get to use
those much more than the propane heaters here in south Texas. I did the one in
the bathroom and it was FULL of dust bunnies. NOT a good sight, and not a safe
situation. So, as a reminder to others, if you have not done this recently, it
might be a good time to clean out your electric heaters soon, as the winter may
be long and cold. Better safe than sorry.

Oh yes, thanks for the heads-up! I cleaned a gas fired dirt dobber nest out of the middle gas furnace. Neat little ceramic piece. Yeah, I remember on my 83, those dirt dobbers loved those gas furnace inlet and
outlet tubes, but they also get way up into the furnace body. I used a
refrigerator coil cleaning brush as I recall to brush the tubes out.

How's the RV park business going for you?

It's been nice, so far. I've been fortunate to support my family and it's nice to share monetary responsibility with my wife and the kids. I'm still working full time as an engineer, but looking at phasing that part out of my life in the near future. we have a LOT to do to get our park up to resort standards, but we plan to be all paved, with pool and showers in a couple to three years. I'm designing and building facilities on my own with a lot of physical help from the family. What can I say, I work All Day, but it's all worth it. RVing is in my blood. Oh and at last my Bird has a bird house! I've been waiting to have her covered from the weather. I appreciate you asking. The park is definitely my passion. I'm a Route 66 nut, so we are gearing toward the highway travel stop with as muchhospitalityas our little group can dish out. My brother-in-law is my park manager and has been doing a more than fantastic job. We are taking "Steady Gittin' It" to Houston, Weimar, College Station and Concan this weekend.
