Bird sighting on I-25 heading south
Good evening everyone from Denver:
On a long drive today from Oklahoma, I spotted 2 Birds at separate times on the other side of the highway. One was a 90 or 91 the other looked like a '95. The '90 looked like some of the striping was a dark green tone, while the '95 was the deep earth tone brown with light and dark long overlapping swirls. I was in the car with no means of communication to try to raise them. Sure looked good motoring down the highway. In the morning, I will be getting up close and personal with a '95 LX and take her out for a short spin, can't wait. On a lighter note, while not being that familiar with the Denver metropolis, and after an 11 plus hour drive, I started looking for a motel close to the site where the LX is stored, I pulled into a somewhat questionable facility, but Charolette is at home and I being tired, I just figured this place had to have a shower and bed. About that time, while I was still in the car, the cell phone rings off the hook and low and behold it is a fellow Birder, so naturally we start to chat. During this chat, I noticed 4, ummm, ladies of the evening? entering this motel I was going to check out. Well needless to say, it was time for a re think on this place and in favor of staying married, only to name one, I headed out of the parking lot to find other digs to drop my hat at. tonight I am overlooking the bright lights of the Denver landscape, feeling much better about it all and called home. timely call!
