Electric heater adjustment

At one of our Lone Star Bird rallies, someone had their bath baseboard
heater out and they were adjusting the cycle time. does anyone remember
how that is accomplished. My heater will come on for 20 seconds and
then turn off. Kinda cool in there these days. I have supplemented the
heater with a ceramic heater, but would like to get the original

Just got done working on mine which had the same problems. Mine was a
Marvin brand and had an adjustmnt screw inside the thermostat. I was able
to tuen the screw in a few turns and the heater now stays on a little
longer. The little adjustment set screw is held in with something like
LokTite and is a real bugger to get to where it will turn. Ended up using
some liquid wrench on it to get it free. I'll see you at the rally and can
go over this some more if you have the same kind of heater.

There is an allen-wrench adjustable set-screw in the original
thermostat. Don't go too far or you can overheat the heater. If it is
the vertical one in the galley, turn it over so that the thermostat
is at the bottom for longer cycles.

Cleaning/vacuuming the heater and blower when it's out will help, the
blower draws air over the thermostat bulb and needs decent airflow.
