Quite a few years ago, a couple of guys bought 2 birds. Both thought
this was the way to go- to own a Bluebird. After all, the Bluebirds were touted as the best coach going. BUT- these coaches were so complex that we didn't have anyone to talk to about them. If we had problems- who would help us? Call the factory? Who would talk to someone with a 20 + year old bird? I, for one, put mine up for sale. I looked at an Executive in Washington that looked great- and was not as complex as my first bird. Glad my bird didn't sell. Behold the birth of the wanderlodge forum. Two guys- who didn't know beans about birds, but were anxious to learn about them, started a group so we could get help and offer advice. Fast forward a few years- the two guys went their own direction, each one believing what they were doing was right. And that belief was to help other Bluebird owners or folks that wanted to learn about these complex machines to understand them and with a support group of dedicated individuals to help out in any situation. Some of the group have considered, very heavily on their minds," do I stick with a Bluebird "?or have my needs or situation changed?. I'll use 2 examples: Blair- who is tall and needs a coach that can accommodate his height and George Lowrey, who fulltimes and his better half needs more room. Both guys purchased another brand of coach. The knowledge base is still intact, that they possessed about Bluebirds- should we dismiss them because they purchased another coach other then Bluebird? I think not. In a nutshell- we NEED all folks on this forum whether they have a Bluebird or not. Thank you all for your support of the Wanderlodgeforum. Ernie Ekberg, 83PT40 in Texas |

Thank you Ernie,
Yes, we purchased another coach, but only for specific reasons that Bluebird could not answer...that is, unless I bought a newer 450 for an amount I didn't want to spend. Do I still have a lot of knowledge about birds? you bet! Will I still contribute to the group? Of course. Is a newer bird possibly in our future? time will tell. For now, Lynn and I are very happy with out choice and our times with fellow birders have been the best and we hopefully can continue our friendships and meet new owners. Thanks to you all. Ernie, as your friend, I thank you for "hatching the egg" What a
tremendous idea. I know you have gone through the full spectrum of emotions on this. Only because you to are passionate about BlueBirds.. "From the break-up to today" your compassion, aka brain child has suceeded to today. WOW.. who woulda thunk it. You were wise beyond your years. Just keep your chin up and things will work out. They always do. WE ALL OWE YOU ALOT. Especially in today's world when all we are going to have is the knowledge base of each other. I have never seen anything like in all my professional career. Thanks again for the forward thinking.. ScottB 86FC35 SC --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Ernest Ekberg" > > Quite a few years ago, a couple of guys bought 2 birds.
