dead toad
I've been towing a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica behind my M380. Auto
transmission, Remco lube pump and Brake Buddy. Lately, when I stop after about 3 hours of driving, the battery in the toad is dead (happened twice). I jump started it and it immediately came back to life. Chrysler checked battery, it showed 13.5 volts. I leave the key in the on position so steering wheel unlocks. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Dick & Sandy Friedkin 2004 M380 Heading from Nashville to Bismarck ND |

I had several dead batteries on my tow car when towing with my M380. There
is definitely some things going on with the bus.....I have not figured it out yet, though. Susan Guidry M380 2004 New Orleans [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Dick and Sandy, You could add a wire to your hook up to the bus and
run from bus-battery to Toad-battery. If you are on the road now, you may look at Harbor freight for one of the solar battery chargers that plug into the cig lighter port, and drop it on the dash. Or simply run a 12 ga wire from battery to battery with alligator clips. you need not run the ground as the bus and car are grounded for the lights. Fully Discharging the Pacifica battery will reduce the life of the battery. I've been saving up for a 2004 Bus, 9 more years and my savings will meet the resale. I know you probably know this but here it is anyway. On my car ( Ford
Explorer ) you the key had two positions. The first one releases the steering column and the second turns power to the car. We have run our battery down before by not being careful which positition the key in. Probably not it but just wanted to put on the table. Also a late model Mercedes Diesel so we can run biodiesel in it. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, bizisphoto@... wrote: > > I had several dead batteries on my tow car when towing with my M380.
