Back up Monitor System
Hi Everyone,
My back up camera went out on my coach. I want to replace both the camera and the monitor as the monitor picture area was getting smaller and smaller and I figured the monitor is giving out. The monitor is a small tv tube that has a myriad of wires going to a circular plug that plugs into the back of the tube. I'm wondering if anyone has replaced this style system with a newer system and if a new cable needs to be run from front to back of coach or if the current cable can be used with appropriate adapters? Any advice anyone can give will be appreciated. Thanks, Randy Merrill 1993 40 WLWB Ocala, FL |

I and a others have had good success using http://www.rvcams.com
Tim is very knowledgeable and will work with you to put a system together that will work. I've posted before on my installation of camera and monitor so it should be in the archieves somewhere. Check out the pics on the wanderlodge forum.
My LCD/Camera upgrade pics are there.. I love my new color setup and the new low-light CCD cameras now-days are far superior than the old tube cameras. Back up Monitor System
Hi,
I used an Audiovox system Camera moves low light function, several possible inputs (cameras) color lcd. I got a piece of plexi cut to fit in old crt location and mounted the lcd to it...worked great..hardest part pulling the new wire from the rear of coach..Camera fit in the original location..
