Wheel Hub Oil Seals
I was doing some wheel polishing yesterday, and had the front hub caps off. I
found a moderate amount of oil leakage in the right one, and it was coming from the rubber hub seal in the center fill hole. The other side was not leaking, but the plug was very easy to rotate. I took the bad one to the local NAPA truck place, and while they did not have the rubber plugs in stock they did have the plastic face with plugs, and offered without my asking to rob two of them for me. Identical parts (Stemco 359-5990), and holding old and new up together it looks like the old were a good 1/16-inch less in diameter. Typical rubber shrinkage with age.
