Is it just me, or does this look like a killer deal on a '99?

Randy's got a 2000 LX for $179K! I'd say this one won't last long. If you
want to sell anything in this market, it's a liquidation sale. Nobody sells unless they have to. David Brady '02 LXi, NC -----Original Message----- |

Looking at the photos and reading the ad it looks like a great deal.

Remembering back to the last time I was looking, based on the advice of a former Blue Bird dealer, here aresome of the reasons it's under$100K:
No slide, Brownish front cap, Cummins sted DD LX trim Smaller genset Smaller fuel and water capacities Fiberglass cargo doors Relatively high miles Florida coach with potential rust orsalt corrosion(although stored inside). Nothing wrong with any of the above, but from a marketing standpoint, they all discount the price. All that being said, it looks very nice for the price, much smarter buy than a newer plastic coach assuming it's in great condition. I know houses are beginning to sell again, maybe coaches will again, too. Brad Barton 00LXiDFW bbartonwx@... To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com From: curtsprenger@... eBay sales sometimes fail to conclude, even when reported "sold." In those cases, usually the buyer doesn't deliver the required payment at the close of the auction. Then, eBay allows the auction to be repeated.
The low price may represent a good deal, so long as there aren't any serious defects that are hidden. (The photos look pretty good -- but photos aren't always fully revealing.) I note that in the current economic climate, a very low price would be necessary to attract a buyer. "Fire sale" prices are only available when unusual circumstances prevail. After testing the market, I've discovered that there is almost no interest in any RV at the moment (unless offered at an extremely low price). In my case, I've withdrawn my 'bird from the market for now and will use it until the situation improves. It may take a year or more for that to occur. However, if I were in desperate circumstances, then I'd have to offer an extreme discount to find a buyer and raise whatever cash a sale would bring. I suspect I'd quickly wind up a member of the Two Bird Club. I love the coach I have. No real interest in getting rid of it, but the super low prices these days sure do draw my interest. Almost have my brand new Norcold fridge installed. Tore the old Dometic out today & rebuilt the shelving that held it in place. The old stuff was a bit weathered. I covered the new wood with a spray-on rubber coating, should last the life of the coach and then some. It's going to be nice to have a larger, brand new fridge. With all of this new freezer space I can go stock up on frozen pizzas. ;-) -Ryan '86 PT-40 8V92 |

Yep a killer deal. I talked to this guy on a question about the shield that was on the end of the counter in the galley which I do not have and I though this was a add on from aftermarket vendor....in any case he couldn't answer the question but I did mention the great deal that he had on EBay and he told me that the coach was just too big for him anymore and he was down sizing. By the looks of the pictures it looks like it has been cared for and he liked the BB but too big for him.
