82 PT40 VIN number location help

If any of you guys with the 82 PT 40 can do me a favor....I need to know where the VIN # is located on the coach. Since I am buying mine from out of state,my state needs apicture or ruboff of the VIN. The gentleman I'm buying mine from doesn't remember seeing one so any tips/guidance that would speed this up would be appreciated!

Don't know on the '82, but on the '86 PT-40 it's on an embossed plate on the inside of the bus on the pillar at the driver's side of the windshield, visible only from the outside. The plate is turned on its side so you have to read it with your head turned while standing on a stool or ladder. Or if you're about 6'5" tall.

On my '85 the VIN is located on the top winshielf frame behind the
drivers sun visor.
