shore power switch
Hi Dana, Congrats on getting the new to you BB... Look in the step area, on left side as you go up the the steps there is a door that open to the switch... That is if it is the same as mine... shore power switch
On my 1977 FC31, it is located under the seat nearest the entrance door, of the dining table. At the steps look to your left, and open the carpeted door, there is your transfer switch. From the OFF position, start your gen., after it warms up, turn the switch to Gen. If you are to use shore power, the switch should again be in the OFF position, connect your power cord to your RV, then turn the switch to Shore. I have heard that it is wise to have all appliances etc. turned off before you turn the transfer switch to either the  Gen. or Shore position. Makes sense to me. To shut down the Gen. or disconnect the shore power cord, turn your appliances, lights, etc. off, turn the switch to OFF, then disconnect the power cord, or let the Gen. run a few minutes to cool down, before shutting it down. Good Luck, George Burke 1977 FC31 Charlotte [ P.S. The Shore Power connects on the drivers side, near the rear of the bus.]
