fan hub torque spec
Anyone know if there are torque specs for the nut that holds the fan pulley to the fan motor, or do you just snug it down till its tight? Mine is an 86 PT if it matters....

RE: fan hub torque spec
Hi Markus,
I looked high and low for this. The torque spec for the 1:8 tapered Sauer Danfoss fan motor shaft nut using the fan hub is: 50 to 65 ft-lb (dry). The nut is 5/8-18 UNF. The fan hub is malleable steel. It won't crack so you could even go a little higher. david brady, '02 Wanderlodge LXi 'Smokey' (Sold), '04 Prevost H3 Vantare 'SpongeBob' "I don't like being wrong, but I really hate being right" |

RE: fan hub torque spec
From a fellow PT owner, I was told 65 foot pounds, with some blue loctite. So it was done.
