We made it home with our Bird -now I have a few tech. questions.

We flew into Minneapolis last Thursday and picked up the 1984 35SB
that we had bought in Dec. Drove it straight back to Northern CA right
at 2000 miles. It ran great all the way,checked the fuel milage
once,Des Moines Ia to Evanston WY 1000 miles with several 7000ft passes
we got 8.46mpg. Several problems showed up and I could use some advice
We cannot get any water flow from the hot side of any faucet,also both
L & R wipers work fine but the mist control only works on the right

Did you check the hot water tank? inflow value drain value closed?
the mister is problably clogged take the rubber hose off and put a thin wire ti
clearout the
value

sounds like you have a good rig if thats all the problems so far!

Jim,

The minnie black hose on the mister could be disconnected,
behind the panel,
Sounds like something was done to shut the water off at the hotwater
tank. These old hotwater tanks leak, I am guessing a new hotwater
tank.

Sounds like it runs great, These are minor repair problems.

I cycled the air operated drain valve several times no water runs
out under the coach,also i manually opened the T & P safety valve on
the hot water heater with the 12v water pump on and no water came
out. The wiper problem is the intermittent system not the washers.
Are they electric or are these air operated so they have hoses to
them.

Jim: What year is your Coach?

At the bottom of the water heater, input side, there is a valve. This valve
is a 3 way with an air line going to it. It is part of the air blow out for
winterizing. It is known to stick in the "drain" position. On the end of
the valve facing toward the front of the Coach, remove the 4 screws holding
the end cap on. Be careful as there may be a return spring located there.
With the end cap off, you should see the end of the shuttle, this is the
part that is suck. With a pair of needle nose pliers, pull on the end of
the shuttle until it moves toward the front of the Coach. Replace the end
cap and try the hot water once again. I have taken those valves apart,
cleaned and lubed them and return them to service ready to go. It is a PITA
to remove the valve though.

The wiper delay is a PMMI control. You can get in touch with Doug Hampton
of PMMI and see if they are doing any repair on that system.

pulled off the actuator housing and got it to move. Thanks for the
good advice and your right I wouldn't want to remove the whole valve
