Trudy,
I have done a bit of research on this very controversial camp ground
(Liberty Harbor Marina).

The testimonials read really bad. Very dirty, some parallels to a
cess pool. There is a night club next door that ROCKS til 2:30am.
There is only a common sewer hookup that was not considered
sanitary. All in all, most folks had bad things to say about Liberty
Harbor Marina Campground

Being from the green, green clean mid-west, I am afraid to take my
family into that environment.

Get a chance, e-mail me at jdarst @ hprcars dot com

Thanks Trudy!

Jay:
Can you link us to the reviews? I've only been able to find a couple
on line that were hard to read but did not seems extremely negative.
I would use the Black Bear Campground again if I had to, but it is a
lot further away from the city.

Is this the place?

http://www.westchestergov.com/PARKS/Parks.htm

I couldn't find a state park per se listed.

Kerry,

I found the following RV park review site helpful. Looked up some
camp grounds I've been too, the testimonials are pretty darn
accurate!

http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/New...son.html#C
GID1937
will take you to Croton Point Park's reviews

http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/New....html#CGID
1827
will take you to Liberty Harbor Marina & RV Park's reviews

Also, I want to thank everyone for their continued support and
information regarding the New York trip, both here on the forum and
thru e-mails! I REALLY appreciate it!

I felt a bit over committed until I talked with some of the memebers
on the phone. They put a lot of my concerns to rest.

Keep the great info coming! Still researching stuff, but plans are
to stay at Croton Point Park for the duration, June 10-17th

Thanks again,

Thanks again Trudy/Lisa, good NYC info!

Thanks. I'm with you, I think the Croton Point Park is better than
Liberty Park Marina. We'll probably stay there in early July. For some
reason, when I access the reviews, there is type over the review and I
can only read the last couple of lines.
