Goodyear G159 tread separation
I came across this report by a law firm.
"http://www.jlbreport.com/2006/07/10/a- dangerous-rv-tire-%E2%80%93-the-goodyear -159-%E2%80%93-has-caused-problems/" I have 6 of these with about 13K miles purchased by the former owner. Anyone have these? Tread separation? Blow outs? Poor wear on front? Bob Janes 87FC35 Greenville, SC |

Hi Bob,
I have two G-159's on my steer axle. They are wearing unevenly, pull to the left and will be shifted to the tag axle ASAP. I just had an alignment done, and the coach was not "out of spec" enough to cause the wear that I'm seeing. I am not happy with them, but have not been able to find an alternative supplier in the Harrisburg area. Most of the RVs mentioned (if not all) run the low-profile, much
lighter-duty 22.5 tires, completely different than our 11R and 12R tires. That having been said, I have only had one set of Goodyears on a Wanderlodge, ran them one year and had cupping on the tires. - Jeff Miller in Holland, MI --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "one_dusty_hoot" wrote: > > I came across this report by a law firm. > "http://www.jlbreport.com/2006/07/10/a- > dangerous-rv-tire-%E2%80%93-the-goodyear > -159-%E2%80%93-has-caused-problems/" > > I have 6 of these with about 13K miles > purchased by the former owner. > > Anyone have these?
