shore power connection
I don't seem to have a cable that would plug into 30amp shore power and
50amp recep. on the coach. Where can I find the 50amp male end that fits our coach? It looks like the manufacturer is arrow hart, but I'm not having any luck finding one. Tom Sorrentino Bedford Hills, NY 1987 PT38 1978 33' FC for not much longer |

Tom:
Congrats on the new Coach. I thought the "blue" cord was a 50amp Coach end to 30 amp. Or you do have an adapter for your 50 amp cord. Never mind, the blue cord is a 30 to 30. But I thought there was an adapter
50 to 30 in the side compartment. Ralph At 03:28 PM 8/11/2006 -0500, you wrote: >Tom: > >Congrats on the new Coach. I thought the "blue" cord was a 50amp Coach end >to 30 amp. 30 amp to 50 amp adaptors are available at RV outlets like Camping
World (you can order online). Walmart may have them as well. One thing to note is that 30 amps is only 110 v, so the jump from 50 to 30 amps is a reduction in available power by about 2/3... Pete; Thank you. My coach has the standard 50amp connection and below that a
factory twist on 30amp connection. I will try to connect the 30amp cord to the 50amp cord and see if the batteries charge through the inverter curcuit. I do not plan on using that configuration often, but you never know. Thanks again. Pete,
The thought never crossed my mind about using the 50 amp cord and just adapting it down to 30 amps at the shore power connection. This would work fine for me, the only disadvantage I can see is having to deal with the heavier cord, which is fine with me. Thanks you saved me a lot of work.
