Over 40 ft

I see that some of you "rich" people have Birds over 40 ft in length. I
have seen lots of talk around the net about maximun length being 40 ft
in most states and provinces. Has anyone had any problems with local
laws etc, or is there an exception for RVs?

In many states, an RV over 40' requires an upgraded license. In
California it's called a "non-commercial class B" license. (Same in
Nevada.) There is a road test that requires safely executing certain
turning and backing movements including parallel parking in a space
10' longer than the coach. Only a limited number of DMV offices can
give the class B license test.

40 feet and under, the standard "class C" license will do, although
there are some weight limitations as well as length limitations
involved.

Of course, anyone with a higher class license (e.g. a trucker's class
A) is allowed to drive anything that requires a lesser license.
