Heat loop flush and fill

Heat loop flush and fill
Repaired a leak in the coolant line to the front heater core and
flushed the lines. Looking for suggestions on filling loop, I have the
lines disconnected from the motor. I recall someone mentioning using a
sump pump to fill the system but can't find the post in the archives.

Troy that post was made by Randy Dupree. I'm not exactly sure how he did it
but he had a large reservoir that he pumped from. He'll be back from
Bainbridge GA by Sunday I think. He should chime in and give you the info
then.

Troy:

I have used a spare Par water pump to fill the system. Do you have a small
air bleeder valve on the front heater core? You will also need to find the
"high" spot in the system to further bleed air until you have a solid, not
spurting flow from there. This assures the system is full with no worries.

I don't have a spare Par water pump but I do have a pump on the Proheat unit I
am installing, maybe I can use this to fill the system. I don't see any bleeder
valves on the heater cores that I can find and the front core is lower than the
internal cores. Are the bleeder valves usually located on the heater core in in
the line?
