Shore Water

Curt,

Mine has done that since I got it. I have never figured it out. I rebuilt
the Sporlan valve, got rid of the accumlator tank, put in a new Sureflo high
volume water pump, cleaned the screens at the faucets, replaced the in-line
filter, and still the same result...no pressure when hooked up to shore water.
I just fill the tank, and use the pump. With the new pump. it's nice with
the high flow. Let me know what you found out if you get it fixed.

While at the Buellton rally is past weekend, I hooked up to shore water
and got almost zero water flow. The tank fill switch was in the off
position. I don't have the water flow diagram. Suggestions appreciated.
To get around the problem, I filled the water tank and used the water pump.

If the Sporlan valve is not stuck open, I would next check the
inlet/regulator. These are notorious for causing poor flow. The
Sureflow inlet regulators, when working properly are only good for a
little over 1 gpm. If it is not working you only get a trickle. How
long does it take to fill your tank? Does it seem to flow normally
(listen and time the fill)?

He guys, have any of you thought of the pressure regulator? It is at the city
water bypass in my coach and it was bad. That will definitely restrict water
flow.

Rich Ducci and I struggled for a year or more and
finally discovered and resolved the low shore-water
pressure problem by removing and replacing the
original pressure regulator assembly with a commercial
3/4" brass checkvalve and a 3/4" adjustable pressure
regulator (and added some other "frill" stuff).

Rich has terrific pictures of the results, which we
understand has since been copied and is now marketed
as a complete replacement assembly unit by someone. I
know he would send copies off-line (as no attachments
are permitted to be attached to yahoo-group stuff.)
The only problem we found is, if you step up the flow
too much to the shower, you outrun the coach ability
to produce hot water.
