Who can rebuild a backup monitor?
Either my monitor or my camera has gone out on my coach. I'll
probably just replace the camera, but I'd like to have my b&w monitor fixed (or hopefully rebuilt). I like it that it has the controls built into my overhead panel, and i think I'll lose that if I replace my monitor with a new one. ...So that being said, is there someplace that I can just send my monitor to to have it rebuilt?? Thanks, Alan 87FC35 |

Who can rebuild a backup monitor?
Alan,
I had a problem with my monitor flickering. I took the monitor out and removed the circuit boards and took a good magnifying glass and inspected the solder joints some were cracked. After resoldering the monitor works perfect. In front of the camera is a 1/4" pc. of plexiglass that was crazed badly. After replaceing that I now have a good sharp clear picture. Hope this helps. I had a problem with the monitor pulsing, and reverse view...I bought a
color voyager by audiovox with a camera that pivots. camera fit in the space the old camera was wiring was a little bit of a hassle. removed the screen with tube put a piece of smoke gray lexan over hole and mounted the lcd display on it...well worth the effort. See the toad see almost the back of the bus, see all the way down the road. really happy with the result Jim Riordan 88 WBWL XXV Stuart, Fl. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Howard O. I did the same thing with the clock on my monitor panel. It had small cracks
in the solder. With a small soldering iron- fixed it like new. Ernie Ekberg 83 PT40 Livingston, Montana [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
