landing light gremlins...help
Hi group,
this evening after turning on my mom's oxygen machine and finding for
some reason the lp heater in the bedroom was blowing cold...
noticed landing and flood lights were on....the switches were all off
and no one had turned them on but all the blue lights on the dash were
on, all the spots and floods and driving lights (not the markers)were
on, switches not on.....the only way I could get them off was to turn
off the master switches then we had no lights at all even tho we are
hooked up to 30 amp service....
fortunately we are at my brother's in Reno and I brought her in the
house to sleep.
now what......

The security or scare toggle switch is on in the bedroom control panel. It's
easy to bump accidentally.

Rose Mary, Sounds like your "security lights" switch in the bedroom got turned
on my accident. In out 81 FC35SB it is one the drivers side, under the cabinet
above the bed. So if you are laying in bed, head to the back of the bus, the
switch is a black toggle that you could reach up and turn on and off with your
left arm (if you stretch a little). It should operate the lights you talked
about. Some models seem to have this switch located right above your head when
in bed as well. I'm in Colorado and will be arooound all day, call if you need
more help.

Good Morning Rose Mary,

I'm going to make an educated guess and say that somehow, someone has
turned on the SECURITY LIGHT switch, which in my 'Bird is located
above one of my twin beds, look for it next to a reading light
somewhere in the bedroom. This switch will turn on all of those
lights. I added a piezo buzzer after I did this myself, the buzzer
sounds whenever I turn on those lights or when the backup lights come
on, as a reminder that the lights are on, ironically since I turned
the switch on by accident and then installed the buzzer, I have never
accidentally turned that switch on again. Here is a link to the PIEZO
BUZZER installation for that switch, on my web site;

http://www.pbase.com/iamflagman/image/50381809

A couple of years back, Blair woke up and found that his batteries
were dead and couldn't figure out why, it seems that he did the same
thing, so I came up with a special switch designed just for him to
help resolve this problem, I doubt if you would have to do the same
thing, check out;

http://www.pbase.com/iamflagman/image/39275052

I have since then redesigned the switch and come up with a different
version, for Rob, who seems to like to leave his spot light turned on
all night, check out;

http://www.pbase.com/iamflagman/image/39342762

These are purely experimental switches and should not be used without
adult supervision, which leaves Blair and Rob out of the picture :o)

All kidding aside, the piezo buzzer however is for real and does
actually work as I have it wired into the backup light solenoid,
which is part of the security lights system, when the security lights
are activated, the piezo buzzer sounds at the same time.

Rose Mary, sounds like the "panic" button is on. It is to frighten away
intruders and it appparently did the same for coach owner. Its probably over
the bed or somewhere in that neighborhood. Happy Thanksgiving

RoseMary:
Lie down on the bed and look up. On my coach, I have stereo controls, a night
light switch for the little lights that mark the hallway, a "Security Light"
switch which turns on all of the landing lights, backup lights and driving
lights, and if you are wondering what that other switch is for, well there is
also a switch there for turning off your TV, it actually controls the receptacle
by the vanity.

Check the "panic switch" in the bedroom. (That's for the lights. --
won't help with the cold.)
