Maybe you're not lying, maybe your speedo is off and you are showing more miles
than you are really covering or you had a serious tail wind. I have two 3208 vehicles, one with a stick and 24k, 42k with the trailer and the bird. Fresh engines the truck even has overdrive on top. Best I have seen is 71/2. However I realize mileage talk is like fishing stories. MY speedos are dead nuts and I average several fillups before I come to a conclusion on my figures. No motor home as big and heavy as a bird gets 10 period. Well just David Beatty or me and I will beg the difference. David got somewhere
between 8 and 10 mpg when we drove his rig back from Arizona. Now don't ask me why we get such good gas milage maybe because we do not put our foot down on the pedal as hard as others due? You guys were running about 55 MPH max as I recall?
Dan, who never got more than 8 MPG on the same coach - but running faster and with a light tow car behind. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, jon lechich wrote: > Well just David Beatty or me and I will beg the difference. Ah hah, EIGHT to ten. I can buy that maybe with eggs under the throttle and
down hill; eight. Not ten. When I saw 7 1/2 it was from Milwaukee around Lake MI in the fall of the year. NO grades mostly two lane much of it under 55. In PA on old hwys and some 8 percent grades as little as 4 1/2. Didja ever check your odometer with the mile sticks? I got a pretty consistent 8mpg in my '77 FC31/3208, pedal-to-the-
metal. The '77 weighed about 24,000lbs with everything I could find to carry, I can believe someone could get better if they ran 55, especially with taller than the standard 5.29:1 gears. - Jeff Miller --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Mike Hohnstein" <MHOHNSTEIN@w...> wrote: > Ah hah, EIGHT to ten.
