Installing new stereo?

Before I cut the hole for the stereo which is larger than the existing
opening. How should the cover for the panel be cut as to not hurt the
filament for the lighting? There is no lighting near but I don't want
it to spreed. Should it be cut with a blade and then what? Seal the
edges?

What year is your coach? Are you cutting wood or the EL panel. If you plan to

Unless you are absolutly sure that there is no functioning EL panel
behind the Graphics DO NOT CUT
if there is a functioning panel behind the graphic and you cut open
the pouch or panel you will destroy it

Sorry About that I was in a hurry when I posted; It is in a 1985
pt40. The new stereo back is wider to accommodate a CD insted of just
cassette. Only a little wider on each side, need to cut the EL panel
and a little wood to accomadate.
