3rd ANNUAL MYRTLE BEACH RALLY
Brrrr looking at the homepage pic makes me think of Carolina in the
spring time...
Well it is time to announce the official dates for the THIRD ANNUAL
MYRTLE BEACH BLUEBIRD Rally... got confirmation today of our sites.
We have 35 sites reserved at Pirateland Campground.
http://www.piratlanddotcom The dates are March 16 thru March 18. Yep St
Patties Day weekend. When making reservations 800-443-2267 USE GROUP
# 228596 OUR SPECIAL PRICING IS $20 plus tax per night. A whoppin
$22.00 per night...This campground is great to work with the sites
will be withing walking distance to the beach for early morning
walks, dog excercising, great sunsets etc. Last year we had almost 30
birds in attendance parked within a couple of rows so we can all be
near each other and everyone had a great time. Looks like it is
shaping up to be the same this year.

As most of you know our "structure is no structure" That is to say
there are plenty of things to do golf, antique shop (Judi just got
back from a buying trip lots of cool stuff) Check out the marshwalk,
or Brookgreen gardens...lots of stuff. In addition there is a large
classic car show here with lots of muscle cars and street rods (like
several hundred cars) Brings back memories. Check out
http://www.peedeestreetroddersdot com

I am also planning on doing a Tech Seminar, so I am open to
suggestions for topics as well a seminar leader...if anyone will
volunteer... feel free to email me. Other wise I will plan
something.

The most important "function" if you will is to meet new friends and
rekindle old friendships...What a rally is all about.

Friday night has generally been a free night BUT we have a great
LOCALS SEAFOOD restaraunt, not fancy just pretty good food, casual,
very reasonable if the group wants we can invade them again.. Most
seem to want to hit that spot at least one night while here.

Also we will plan on having a pot luck on Sat night at the
campground, they have a great enclosed building for us to use,
(thanks Dennis, Peggy) followed by a group campfire. I have a twist
for this years Potluck. I have a copy of the official BlueBird
cookbook I would hope we could plan to have the recipes used from
that. Should be fun.

Last year we had TV coverage and newspaper coverage...hope for the
same this year...also we will award the second Annual "broken but
here" award as well (Thanks to Guy Smalley for the artwork)...BOB AND
JEAN LETS HOPE YOU CAN PASS IT ALONG THIS YEAR...

For those that may want to stay in the area until the Maxton Event we
can accomodate a few coaches on our propertes...no hook ups...let me
know.

There is a sign up list on the forums so go to the forums and sign up
so we can get some idea of how to plan...Some contact info for me
is ...Please do not hesitate to contact me with special requests or
ANY questions.

Hi Scott. Jay and I have reservations at Pirateland starting on 3/23 for six
nights leaving for Maxton on 3/29. To bad we couldn't line up the timing
with you, but we should meet some folks while we're there at least at
Maxton.

Yep Dan sorry bout the timing. But a majority voted for the rally
date not to be changed, can't get it right for everyone. You guys
will be missed for sure... Although I have heard from a few that may
stay over until Maxton so not all is lost.

See ya when you get here. I hope

3rd ANNUAL MYRTLE BEACH RALLY
Judi and I will be at Myrtle and are still discussing Maxton.

Every trip out of the Birdsnest we have been looking for pajamas for cocktail
hour s!

Saw the pix of the new 45' bird. looks great!

No more lunch at the clubhouse.

Employees very upbeat - feel a turnaround. Three '07s built. Met one of the
buyers and he already has an order in for an '08!

There are about five used pieces here. Apparently there is a partnership with
dealers when sales are made at Ft. Valley.

We thought that it would be warm in the south. Could someone turn the heat on?

Hey Mike, thanks for the report. Sounds good, The news about
the "mood" around there is great.
See ya here at the beach in a few weeks. PJ's may not be proper
evening attire for the nest, but we are pretty casual here. :>)

I am sorry I will not be able to make the Rally. But, we will be in the
area a week later. Spring break for the kids interferes with the Rally.
I would have loved to meet everyone.

3rd ANNUAL MYRTLE BEACH RALLY
UPDATE: Well here is the update for the Rally on 3/16-3/18. I spoke
with Pirateland today and we have 20 coaches signed up for the rally
so far. Some folks have "heard about it" from others who have
attended and not signed up on the forums. We are glad to have them
attend as well. It will be a great time to meet some new folks and
rekindle friendships. So make plans to attend it promises to be
another "belly laughing good time"

Bob Benner has expressed his interest in the Tech Seminar and
promised to make sure the "broken but here award" will be here
hopefully he can pass it forward. Gueresko is bringing his car for
the car show, and I have contacted the car club to invite their folks
to come by to see our coaches. A bit early to confirm but looks like
we will have a bit of BlueBird history at our Rally, I will announce
when we get 100% confirmation. (hint: the campground is doing some
extra special work for us)

Folks that are planning on attending, and it is shaping up to be
another fine rally, please contact Pirateland directly for
reservations. I have emailed several folks about unique arrangements
while staying here at the beach. If you need anything just let me
know. (cme4boats at aoldot com)

Looking forward to seeing everybody.

3rd ANNUAL MYRTLE BEACH RALLY
Hey Bob sorry I missed the post. Been trying to get a new bread
program (scratch made artisan breads) up and running at work, and
school (culinary) till 10pm. Been a long time since I have had so
much fun with these kinda hours.

Looking forward to meeting/seeing you and everyone else at the
rally.
