Thinking caps on?
Hi Ralph,
Mine does the same thing, but not quite as frequent....maybe once every couple of minutes...no leaks either. I took out my accumulator tank when I replaced to the ShurFlo...nice having that pump, isn't it. Mine has been doing that for a few yrs now...sometimes when I'm lying in bed and it bugs me with the every-once-in-a-while "burp", I just turn the pump off at the switch in the bathroom. Thinking caps on?
Hi everyone:
Here is a fun one perhaps. Water pump new, 5.7 gpm 65 psi Pump cycles after initial pressure up. The cycle is a slight burp about every 10 to 15 seconds. This normally indicates a water leak. Kicker, I have been from one end of the pressure side of the piping and no water leak. Only think I can think of at this point is perhaps crud in the Sporlan valve allowing a seepage back into the system causing a slight drop in pressure at the pump. The anti back flow valve seal is good, pulled it and checked it out. Ideas? Safe travels, Ralph and Charolette Fullenwider 84FC35 Ralph's RV Solutions, Duncan, Oklahoma |

Hi Ralph,
I think you are right either the Sporlan valve or some air in the line that keeps tripping it; but my bet would be the Sporlan valve. Regards. Good thought Leroy and thanks, but I shut the water off to the commode
after the same thought came to mind. Safe travels, Ralph and Charolette Fullenwider 84FC35 Ralph's RV Solutions, Duncan, Oklahoma At 11:09 PM 2/21/2007 -0600, you wrote: >Check the toilet float. Hi Kevin:
I removed the accumulator tank as well. Whew, nice to know I can send the "boys with the white jacket" back to the rubber room! LOL I like the pressure the pump puts out in the shower, almost stings. I am going to pull the Sporlan valve, check it then put the coach back together. I may try a check valve between the out put of the pump and the pressure side to see what happens there. Hi Tom:
Good to hear from you, was just going through the photo album last night, and Charolette asked how you and Peggy were doing. Thinking caps on?
Hello Ralph, just guessing here, but my house system cuts off at 50 psi. I don,t
know anything about rv systems, but could your cut out pressure be set a little high,(65 psi), causing expansion/contraction within the system. Another possibility, I put a new pump in several yrs.ago,(house), and the mfg.recommended installing a anti leak down valve with their pump, (didn't have one previously). Long story short, had problems until a plumber friend told me to take that valve out, that it wasn't needed. Immediately solved the problem, which was like yours, pump recycling. Hope one of these suggestions help, George Burke 77FC31SB Charlotte ----- Original Message ----- From: Tom Meservey To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, February 22, 2007 7:04 AM Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Re:Thinking caps on? Morning George:
Perhaps on the set point, but they come preset and have not looked to see if there is a set screw to change that. Since you had problems with the check valve (anti leak down valve) then I won't introduce one into this system. Thank you Safe travels, Ralph and Charolette Fullenwider 84FC35 Ralph's RV Solutions, Duncan, Oklahoma At 07:42 AM 2/22/2007 -0500, you wrote: >Hello Ralph, just guessing here, but my house system cuts off at 50 psi. Water heater relief valve? Just a thought, you might not notice that leak.
