Genny Fixed..finally

Well the 12.5kw Kohler is finally fixed!! woohoo...running great so
far. New Stator, new brushes, new slip rings, ALMOST complete new
soundproofing, new exhaust being made! I do have a question though the
galley guages are pulsing slightly the guages overhead in front are
steady. Could the guages pulse until the new brushes and rings seat???
Anyone needing good info on the Kohler I have some contacts that have
assured me they will send whatever technical info needed. The southeast
supplier NIXON told me parts were not available but they are..Some
parts guy does'nt like his job and doesnt want to be helpful. Isnt it
amazing what a simple email to the right person (CEO of Nixon, and pres
of Kohler) will make happen!!

Did you do the soundproofing? If so, how much material did it require. I

Curt, the material I got from Stephen Birtles from the forum..2.5
sheets..actually this stuff is very easy to work with. Yes I am doing
the work myself..thats why it isnt quite finished..lol..I got my
genny parts from http://www.PartsForTechs.com very reasonabley priced and
all kohler stuff. If you email me I have the SE rep for Kohler and he
has assured me that he will help (forum members) out how ever he
can.. drawings, parts lists etc. Lets see if he will help us out at
next yrs east coast rally..
