Sliding Trays In Bays

I have Super Slide by Kwikee Products company, Cottage Grove, Oregon. I
believe it was installed by Ron Marabito, the previous owner.

you get them and were you satisfied. And anyone else that has done this jump in
and tell me about it.

I installed a pair of Kwikee Super Slides a couple of weeks ago. Bought them
from http://www.tweetys.com, which had the best price I could find.

Super Slides are the rails only, with you supplying the platform (3/4-inch
plywood). You have to cut the steel front and back pieces to fit the width.

I chose to use 2 48-inch rail sets. That turned out to be longer than could be
fitted in the space, even though measurements said it would work. The problem is
that there is a latch on the right rail of each that extends another inch or so,
and that latch turns out to be right where the right-hand strut on mine (non-gas
side) comes down, forcing the rail to be set back in a couple of inches.

My "solution" was to inset one tray on the other. The narrow one is full depth,
and the wide one is full width but a couple of inches shorter, front to back.

Thank you for sharing the pictures, descriptions, etc. This needs to be
uploaded to the site.

I can cut and weld. Is it possible to shorten the length of one slide to
retain the max. width? Or will that cause other issues?

It would be a major remanufacturing job to modify depth. Getting one 48 and one
42 would be an option.

I'm not unhappy - the narrow slide still fits Rubbermaid Roughnecks
side-by-side, and I've got room alongside the narrow slide for my collapsible
ladder, which wouldn't fit if there was full width.

Another option would have been to stagger the two slides, both wider than the
one narrow one, but both not full width. I debated and went the way I did.
