Bus drive-up ramps
Folks,
Anyone have any plans for building drive-up ramps? I'd like to build a set that could support the rear of my coach 33000 lb - maybe get her up 8 inches. David Brady '02 LXi, Smokey NC |

Bus drive-up ramps
Dave
Go to your local contractor oriented lumber yard, ask if they have 4 2x12x14' that are less than perfect that they need to get rid of. Cut a 2',3',4',5' out of two and a 6' and 7' out of the other two. Then cut a 45 degree angle on one end of each piece. Nail them 7,6,5,4,3,2 and you will have a ramp the will raise you bird 9". Might be heavy but is cheap and SAFE. If you can get them to part with an old 2x4 crosser that is lying in the yard use it for a stop at the end of the 2' pcs so you know when to stop.
